Books I liked

Written on the 17th Feb 2026

Here are some books I read and liked. I'm not gonna say that much about each book.

Exhalation by Ted Chiang

Genre: science-fiction
Its actually a collection of short stories, each of them really well written and talking about stuff like free will, the meaning of truth, and other cool stuff.

Going Postal by Terry Pratchett

Genre: comedy
This book has: impossible odds, criminals, ghosts, the horrors of capitalism, great humor among other things. All of the terry pratchet books I read were great but as of writing this was my favorite.

Six of Crows (and Crooked Kingdom) by Leigh Bardugo

Genre: fantasy
(this is a story that spans 2 books thats why i listed them both)
Its about a group of criminals trying to break a guy out of prison, among other things. i really like it cuz the characters and world are well written. it does help to read the previous books in the universe (the shadow and bone trilogy) but you dont need to, and they're quite a bit less good imo.

Earthsea by Ursula K. le Guin

Genre: fantasy
Theres actually 6 books in the universe iirc, but its been a while since I read them so I dont really remember which one is the best and if you have to read them in order. In any case you should read all of them cuz they're great. It mostly centers around the journeys of a wizard in the world of earthsea, a world which is like a bunch of islands and has cool magic.

The Three Body Problem by Liu Cixin

Genre: science-fiction
Probably the best book ive read in 2025 (actually its 3 books but yeah). Theres a lot that happens but like: what could happen if human contacted aliens, but it goes into a bunch of different stuff ant its all really interesting! I'm not selling it very well but trust me, its amazing.

Everythings's Eventual by Stephen King

Genre: horror
Its the only stephen king book I've read but I really enjoed it. Its a collection of short stories which are well written and unsettling. Be warned, some of them are a bit freaky if you know what I mean...

So yeah those are some books that I liked. If you have any book suggestions you can write them in my guestbook
