lemon cake

Ingredients:
- 300g flour
- 250ml milk (can be substituted with plant milk)
- 200g sugar
- 125g butter
- 1 sachet baking powder
- 1 sachet vanilla sugar
- 2 lemons worth of juice
- For the icing:
- 1 lemon of lemon juice
- icing sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat.
- Place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well until the batter is creamy. The batter is quite runny.
- Place baking paper on a baking tray and pour the batter onto it
- Bake the cake at 180°C for approx. 20 minutes. Test with a toothpick. If no more batter sticks to the toothpick, the cake is ready to be taken out.
- For the icing, squeeze a lemon and add in icing sugar until its thick like icing. Brush the cooled cake with it.
