finns scones

pretty nice scones!

Ingredients:

  • 450g flour (about 890ml)
  • around like 10 grams of baking powder?
  • around 100g raisins (if u want)
  • 50g room temperature butter
  • 300ml milk
  • 1-2 egg yolk (optional)

Instructions:

  1. preheat the oven at 250°c i think
  2. mix the flour, baking powder and raisins
  3. add in the butter and press it in well (ideally until its all perfectly combined)
  4. add the milk and mix
  5. knead it
  6. add flour if its not the right texture (im not sure whats the right texture but it shouldnt stick)
  7. roll out the dough to ~2.5cm (1 inch)
  8. cut out the scones and put them on a baking tray. you dont need paper or anything normally
  9. glaze them with the egg yolk (optional but they look really fancy)
  10. put in the oven for maybe 10 minutes. check regularly
