yoghurt cake

The OG, the EZ, the GOAT

(almost) everything is based on the unit of 1 small pot of yoghurt (like the portion sized ones), you can use a glass around the same size

TODO: measure the approx volume of a pot in mL

Ingredients:

  • 1 pot yoghurt
  • 1½ pot sugar
  • ½ pot melted butter (can be substituted with some types of oil, idk which but as long as it doesnt taste too much it should be fine)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 pots flour
  • half a packet baking powder (around 5g or a teaspoon i think)
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven at 180°c
  2. In a bowl, mix the yoghurt, sugar, salt and butter.
  3. Add the eggs.
  4. Then slowly add in 2 pots flour without mixing the dough too much.
  5. Add in the last pot of flour with the baking powder.
  6. Pour the batter in a mold and leave it in the oven for 30 minutes.

Tips:

  • You can put anything in the batter to make more tasty cake.
  • stuff ive tried: chocolate chunks, melted chocolate, apple bits (even better when they're caramelized).
  • Don't mix the batter too much when adding the flour cuz then the batter will become more elastic so it won't rise as much and the cake will end up pretty thick and not good.
  • To check if its ready, stab it with a knife (or any long pointy thin) and ckeck if theres some uncooked dough sticking to it
